PROCEDURAL TEXT

STANDARD KOMPETENSI :
Memahami makna teks tulis fungsional dan esai pendek sederhana berbentuk procedure dan report untuk berinteraksi dalam konteks kehidupan sehari hari.

KOMPETENSI DASAR :
Membaca nyaring bermakna teks fungsional dan esai pendek sederhana berbentuk procedure dan report dengan ucapan , tekanan, dan intonasi yang berterima.

INDIKATOR :

• Mengetahui tujuan  komunikatif dalam teks
• Mengidentifikasi berbagai informasi dalam teks procedure 
• Membaca teks dengan nyaring
• Menjawab pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan teks

PROCEDURE TEXT

a.   Social Function : to tell or to describe how something is compliance through a sequence of actions or steps

b.   Generic Structure : 

• Goal / Aim
• Ingredients / Materials
• Steps 

c.   Language Features : 

• Imperative words
• Action verbs
• Connective words
• Adverbial time and place

Example : 

How to make jelly

You will need : 

• One packet of jelly crystal
• a 500 ml jug
• 250 ml of boiling water
• 200 ml of cold water
• a bowl

Steps :

• put a packet of jelly crystal into the jug
• Add boiling water
• Stir well until crystal dissolve
• Add the cold water and stir
• Pour mixture into a bowl
• Refrigerate until firm
